Seek God for the City 2022, Mar. 2 – Apr. 10.
God is at work in our world. We are a people who partner with Jesus on his mission, together with others, in our spheres of influence. Prayer is a significant activity of our partnership with the Lord, for Jesus ever lives to intercede (Hebrews 7:25). And, one of the primary ways that Jesus executes his kingly rule is through humble intercession (Psalm 2:8). It is our privilege to intercede (Ezekiel 22:30) and to remind the Lord of his magnificent promises until he fulfills his word (Isaiah 62:6-7; 55:9-11).
Each year I use this resource from Waymakers to help focus my prayers for the 40 days leading up to Palm Sunday. Waymakers has produced a new prayer guide every year for three decades.
Seek God for the City 2022 leads us through a solid 40-day season of praying that is grounded in God’s word. Seek God helps us pray faith-filled prayers, asking for God’s will and purposes to be accomplished in our cities and communities. We will unite our prayers with many thousands of others during the 40-day season.
