Our Student Ministry is experiencing some growing pains and that is a good thing! We are excited about testimonies from our youth, and Jane Winne, our Student Ministry Coordinator, about what the Lord is doing in and through Thrive. The Lord is moving and touching lives as our teenagers are reaching out and bringing their friends to youth events and inviting them to do life together in an atmosphere of love and friendship.
Already, our youth are preparing for the Encounter God’s Presence youth camp this summer and signup has been amazing! The kids are excited about attending and bringing friends with them this year. In fact, one of our young people proposed the idea, and organized, a Bake Sale Fundraiser to help raise money for camp scholarships.
Jane Winne is doing such an amazing job of fostering an atmosphere where our youth feel comfortable stepping out and leading in various ways, not only within the youth group, but also through our Worship Ministry, Livestream and Media, and also on Ministry Teams. These teenagers are boldly living their faith in all sorts of ways here at Calvary and in their schools. We have some incredible teens!
Coming up on May 22, here at Calvary, our Thrive Student Ministry is hosting an Encounter God’s Presence Rally, with Jason and Heidi Williams. Jason and Heidi will also share in our service on Sunday, May 23. Several area youth groups will attend this rally and Jane has said that she is believing there to be standing room only in the Prayer Room on Saturday night for this event. It will be an incredible weekend!
