Eikon: Young Adult Ministry
Calvary’s Eikon Ministry continues to provide a safe, relational place for young adults. One facet of the Greek word, Eikon, means to be “transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.” We are a community of 18-30 year old Jesus-seekers, desiring authentic relationships that encourage, inspire and empower us to be like Christ!
This is a very relational group with a strong sense of “family.” This is an eclectic group with young marrieds (some with children), recent high school graduates, those attending college, and those pursuing various careers. Although this group does not meet regularly, there is still a sense of belonging and connectedness based on relationships- new and old.
We’ve got a long way to go in regards to loving and serving as Jesus did, but the Eikon group allows us the opportunity to risk and grow together in community. That takes courage and commitment! We’re learning how to give ourselves to God first, and then to one another. In so doing, we will be transformed into the image of our beloved Jesus.
If you’re interested in meeting and getting to know some of Calvary’s young adults, please contact Pastor Jeff Chapman. He will be happy to “introduce you around” and ensure that you feel apart of this amazing group of young adults.
