Back in 1988, the Lord led us to carve out time in our services for God to touch us with his presence and power. The Lord was moving in our midst, releasing healing and wholeness. Ever since that time, we have sought to bless what the Lord is doing by making time in our services, small group meetings, and other gatherings for Ministry Time. We want to pray for one another and partner with what the Lord is doing. Through the years, the Lord has touched people with his saving, delivering, healing, and encouraging power. The testimonies inspire and challenge us to keep praying for one another in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
So, Ministry Time has become a part of our church life at every level. The Lord our God is our healer. He comes to save, deliver, heal, and encourage. And, we get to partner with him in the doing the works which he is doing (Luke 9:1-2; John 14:12).
Additionally, there are times when the Lord leads us to set aside focused time for prayer and ministry. The Elders and Pastoral Team at Calvary believe the Lord wants us to set aside such a time to pray for the sick. We are inviting anyone who wants prayer for healing to come to the Prayer Room on Monday, October 22, from 7:00 – 9:00pm. Some of the leaders of the church (elders, pastors, deacons, small group leaders, and their spouses) will pray for those needing healing. KidCare for babies through Pre-K is available via reservation.
May our hearts be stirred with expectation. May the Lord move among us in his power to make us whole and healthy. And, may our lives be changed as we encounter the living God moving in and through the midst of his people.
